We, people of the United States of America, demand participation within our democracy. We note the failures of representative democracy that have quelled us into complacency, but we see alternatives that allow us more direct control of our daily lives. Around the world, participatory or direct democracy has become a way to take into account individual views and those of the community in an effort to politically empower the people to make real positive change possible on a local level. We want to connect people from all over the world with these ideals so that we can work together to improve democracy in our communities. We are creating a visionary resource for people willing to make a difference in the corrupted ways of representative democracy. We shall represent our own views by participating and we call on you to do the same.
