About me:
ABOUT DEMOLISTEN
We are a small company designed to help unsigned bands get the attention they deserve. Its hard to get recognition when you don’t have a label backing your every move. We are here to be that support and help you get your foot in the door. We do booking for small tours up to two weeks long. We have a feature music player that we change each week, just so fans can hear the many different styles of bands out there. We also have a compilation that we make ourselves of about 15-20 bands each year. All unsigned. We then sell this CD at shows and at the Vans Warped Tour. There is also much more demolisten plans to do in time to come.
ABOUT BOOKING THROUGH DEMOLISTEN
demolisten will not starting booking bands until spring 2008. The tours can be up to a full two weeks long. Each band will be asked to pick a route and the cities they would like to play. From there we will book the shows and adjust the route accordingly. Since we are such a small company we will ONLY be booking one or two tours at a time. We do not have the time or man power to do mutiple bands at any given time. The shows may or may not have guarantees. There will be no housing or transportation provided. The shows may be small or be opening spots for National acts, it all depends. This service however will cost a small amount just to insure us from bands backing out after the tour is booked. ABOUT OUR FEATURE MUSIC PLAYER
Our music player is located to the left of your screen. Be sure to flip through the songs. We feature 3 new bands each week. The songs can be any genre. This is a free service we bring to you from demolisten. We get a lot visitors on our site, so this is the perfect way to do some free promoting of that hot new song you want everyone to hear! To submit your song for our feature music player please email us at demo_listen05@yahoo.com. Be sure to send it to this email ONLY and include your bands webpage or myspace. We only except songs from the bands themselves. You may send multiple songs but in separate emails. Do not resend a song if it doesnt get picked.
ABOUT OUR COMPILATION
In the past years demolisten has set up a tent everyday on the Vans Warped Tour. Last year we took a break and decided to rework some of the glitches in the company. This year we are back. We just confirmed the 2008 Warped Tour. We will be releasing Volume 3 of the demolisten comp in June. The cd will be sold online and at the shows in all the different cities. The first year we did the compilation, it was a free service, but it put us at demolisten in debt. So the second year we charged a small fee just to put your band on the cd. But its well worth it. This cd gets out to millions of people across the US. It’s a great form of promotion. The price this year is $60. We make it as affordable as possible because we know how money is hard to come by as a struggling band/artist. Being featured on a compilation is a great way to also come in contact with other bands you could work with in the future. For information on the cd please email demo_listen05@yahoo.com. In the past demolisten has been a huge success and we only hope 2008 brings even more. On WT in the past we raffled off tshirts, cds, and even signed guitars!
