The environmental project of Rodion Miroshnyk from Ukraine. Was started in 2006 in Kiev with idea of internet music formation. Ambient-noise, IDM, minimal art, psychedelic, illbient and related subgenres.
In 2000 Rodion has graduated the Art School (graphics, integrated painting) with a strong desire to produce music in forms of audio-collage, that reminds various methods of complex drawing.
Being an inveterate traveller, he statedly works with field-recording from the different corners of the world, transforming captured sounds into ambient-, dub- and techno- structures.
The first EP “Natural” (2007) was released on TLHOTRA (Two Left Hands On Two Right Arms) netlabel, based in Gaevle, Sweden. Long minimalist tone pressure is changing gradually, covered with different distortion combinations; experimental ambient, based on field-recordings, made during a Central European winter travel (Germany – Poland – Ukraine): noises from empty night train stations, snow crunches in mountains, wailing of the wind… These sounds were mixed with sounds, extracted from live instruments – acoustic guitar, harmonica, different ethnic instruments (panpipe etc.); Rodion also did experiments with old samples, soviet hoover-pipe, recorded TV-signals, water vibrations in a plastic bottle and broken microphones.
The main idea of a project is to find and reflect the border of real and unreal by the instrumentality of sounds. He believes, that Border can be heard and finally shown. If people understand the existence of these two conditions, we have to find out and display the most interesting moments between them: that’s the higher state of physical impression, entering into subconsciousness.
