DEMONS|AMONG|US is the debut feature film by director Stuart Simpson. In true independent spirit, the whole production was volunteer based with all cast and crew generously contributing to an enormous pool of talent. Starring: Nathaniel Kiwi (Flip Side-ABC, Marshell Law-CH7), Scott Brennan (Comedy Inc.-CH9, Skithouse-CH10), Roz Hammond (Muriels Wedding, The Dish, Skithouse-CH10), Steven Gates(Tripod, Skithouse-CH10)Steven Stagg (Flip Side-ABC), Peter Roberts and introducing the talented Laura Hesse. Although the budget small, the films high quality and style was never sacrificed. Shot over a three period from 2003 - 2006 with 6 months post production on sound, visual effects and a kick ass original score composed by Clare Whitcombe. The Special FX Make up and Creature Effects were skillfully created and applied by fellow Melbournian Nick Kocsis. Demons' has screened at several festivals around the world and is now on dvd to buy or rent in Australia thru Accent Underground. Who I'd like to meet: SYNOPSIS:Joe Melton moves to the country for some peace and quiet. 2009 MELBOURNE UNDERGROUND FILM FESTIVAL – MIDNIGHT SCREENING
Ursula Dabrowsky, winner of the Best Australian Director award at the 2009 A Night of Horror International Film Festival, Sydney, is proud to screen her eerie psychological horror feature film Family Demons at the 2009 Melbourne Underground Film Festival at Embassy, 1 Queensbridge Street, South Melbourne on Saturday, 29 August at 11pm. Ursula will be at the screening to introduce the film.
The official trailer for the new movie Berdella, presented by the Northeast Film Group LLC. The movie Berdella is based on the life of Kansas City serial killer Bob Berdella between the years 1984 and 1988. This four year span resulted in the deaths of 6 men who were violated, tortured, and mutilated. Many historians make the claim that Berdella was more brutal and violent than Dahmer.
The film is scheduled for a Summer 2009 theatrical release date.
