These are the titles I am going to be bringing to the darkroom. One of them is my first novel with Barbara Shenouda under her maiden name. She co-wrote the novella with me in the time frame of the first Gothicfest, and she was writing her novel that she published early last year. That book we wrote got published with Donna Taylor Burgess of Naked Snake Press the summer of 2006. The others will be Darkened Horizons: Issue 3. That came out in December of 2007. I didn't get a chance to promote House of Spiders 3 in 2006 because of ill health at the apartment. The book I am giving away at the show is The Box by Richard Matheson (I AM LEGEND, A STIR OF ECHOES, Nightmare at 20,000 Feet.) Shenouda's novel is able to be picked up on Amazon.com. She wrote PAWN -- A Novel, Collection, and Collection II all on Iuniverse.com. They are not carried outright in Barnes and Noble. That one need to be special ordered. She writes fast paced action novels. House of Spiders 3 was written from October 2005 to Feb 2006. The ink wasn't even dry yet on that novella when it got picked up on Naked Snake Press.

As long as there are no events scheduled, you guys should come out to the show at Joe's on Weed St this coming Sunday Aug 9 at 7:30. It is a comedy show/contest featuring 12 of Chicago's best upcoming comics. I am competing and would love to see some familiar faces from the dark underground come out and represent. Even if you don't vote for me, I would just be happy to see other spooky people there. There are some incredibly talented comics who will be performing/competing and for a $5 cover it is a hell of a deal. I hope you guys can make it out and if not, at least help spread the word.
