Welcome Musicians and Bands My Name is: Danielle G. I am a Lyric Writer/ Songwriter........ Music is my passion and my soul! I can't imagine my life without it. It's a constant driving force that keeps me moving forward, reaching for my dreams! Music's had a positive and profound impact on my life and has certainly shaped me into the person that I am today. Though I've faced rejection and had a few doors close in my face, I've also learned a great deal about the music industry, and discovered myself along the way. Most importantly, I've learned not to take things personally. I am grateful for the opportunities that I've been given. I am a stronger person because of my experiences, and more determined to make my dream a reality. Giving up is not an option! I believe that all things happen for a reason, and though I don't always understand, I do believe that something wonderful and amazing is just around the corner. As a Recorded Lyric Writer/Songwriter I hope to become a positive role model for people of all ages. Along Lee’s path she always had people verifying she would make it as a singer. Lee’s grandfather, a pastor, was where she received her gift to sing. Lee grew up listening to the greats like Stevie Wonder, George Benson, Al Jarreu, to Whitney Houston. Her father made her sing by age three in front of his clients and by this ripe age she knew she would be a professional singer one day. By the time she won a national pageant she was singing at appearances across the country, to national television. This opened the doors for Lee, and gave her many opportunities to get recognized. It is obvious what a special talent Lee Christie truly is, “My style is a wide range, but my favorite is a blend of Blues, Jazz, and R&B.” Not only does Lee have an incredible vocal ability, she writes lyrics from the soul. “Music for me is the best therapy when negative emotions arise, I listen to my favorite music, or write lyrics and it cleanses me. This is what people relate to, what is true in life.” Lee has gone through many life-altering events but as she says, “A flower cannot bloom unless it weathers the storms of life.” She is excited to go into the studio to work on a couple of different projects, and one close to her heart, a gospel CD to get her message across. Danielle G. Bio. (Lyric Writer) I was born in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. Being the eldest child, I grew up with 3 younger brothers, We were always assigned chores. Hauling wood, cutting brush, weeding gardens,cooking,cleaning,babysitting,cutting grass. Weekends were pizza's ,Oyster soup, McDonalds and Movies. At about the age of 9 I was taking Tap and Ballet lessons and swimming lessons. I also attended summer camps. At the age of 14 I was learning to play the guitar, in school and private lessons, I also gave the French horn a try. I taught myself to play some songs on the piano. We were also learning the flute in school. We also had chorus in school at that time. I love horse back riding ,growing up we lived 2 blocks away from a horse farm. On weekends I loved to go riding up to the river and wade the horses. At the age of 16 the Boom Box became my best friend, I just couldn't seem to get enough music in me.At that point in my life I met a guy (friend) whom was in a band. I would always go over by him and listen to them play. On the weekends I would go out to dance clubs with my friends, we all loved to dance. I also started working part-time jobs. I was a companion for an elderly lady, I was babysitting, and I worked part-time as a waitress. I attended Washington High school in Two Rivers, Wis. In 1989 I left and joined the military as a Diesel Mechanic, in 1990 we traveled to Korea for Team Spirit Exercise. When I returned home I moved to Manitowoc, which is only 5 miles from Two Rivers, Wis. I have one son whom also is taking an interest in music. I attended a Tech. school and received my HSED. Through the yrs.that followed I worked in the Factories. In 2000 I schooled for a nursing assistant. In 2000 I also started writing poetry which was only a hobby at the time. I was writing to escape to a better place and it was helping me to find myself. Also during that time I home schooled myself in Psychology. I since then have moved back to my hometown,Two Rivers Wis. where we will continue to enjoy the beauty of Lake Michigan. I am a down to earth person whom can be quiet at times. I enjoy interacting with people an helping them. I also enjoy painting, remodeling and decorating my house. I love art museums. My life has been very busy an when I look back at it I see what life is truly about. Right now I’m a stay at home housewife/writer. When people ask me, Why do you write poetry / Lyrics I say ,really it's always been with me since I learned to read an write it was not until a few yrs. later though when I started taking an interest in music that really connected the two together. Living is giving an I was given a gift an a chance in my life by a teacher who believed in me. An I will continue to live an give, for she would not give up on me so why should I give up on everyone. When I was in Grade school I struggled with Reading an writing until about 5th Grade when I finally snapped out of it,and I owe all the thanks of that to a special Ed teacher I had. She refused to give up on me. I think back to the small room with two desks an a chalk board in it an her making me sound out each word. Many tears were shed in that room. But may I say if she could see me today she'd be so proud. So I will continue to write. For she never gave up on me and I will never ever give up on her. She's the one who gave me the precious gift to read and write. So I'm going to use that gift and share it with the rest of the world for today I owe her so much, she is my hero. Danielle G.
