What is the sound of DeniM?
Classic Rock; a modern sound; honest, two-faced anthems built on melody & unqiue guitar signature sounds guided by powerful beats and powerful vox delivering introspective, free-thinking lyrics. Breaking down the boundaries between artist and audience.
DeniM has played over 250 live shows including the Bondi Winter Music Festival, Melbourn’s National Theatre & Uni. Bar in Hobart. Their massive rocking live performance has seen them win the Laney band comp & has been filmed and aired on television’s TVS programs the Couch & the Guide. Having produced three earlier EPs, DeniM has just finished recording their first album with aria-award winning producer/engineer Anton Hagop at the helm. The strength of the music is seen with airplay on many community radio stations around the country. Their songs have appeared on national compilations such as on the ‘Live @ the Cat’ Vol. II & the Droughtbuster; it has chosen by Fox Studios film makers to feature on films; featured in the nation-wide Soundcheck competition and in various documentaries by Warrior Films.
After years of relentless hard work DeniM attracted much label intrest and signed on the verge of an album release and national tour. They were rapidly heading for busy, busy times until the a member had to be replaced.
That was April.
Needless to say, as on previous occasions, they picked themselves up, dusted themselves off and auditioned many, many talented vocalists until they found their best singer/front person for the role.
Funny how a sequence of, what seem, demoralising events can lead to a bigger and better place! Singer, saxophonist, guiatrist BJ was recruited followed by Keboard extroidinaire Carlyman Belle.
Re-grouping, they have been locked away rehearsing for 3 months and will hit the road end 2008 bigger and better than ever.... all under a new name....NEON DAWN.

Cambridge gig will be tops, looking forward to some rock. Coincidentally, our lead guitarist is also in The Mercy Call, this is the first time he is on the same bill and has to double up! People are going to think there is a shortage of guitarists in Newcastle :)
