Denise Levasseur won "Song of the Year" on MP3.com in 2001 which resulted in having her title track average 25,000 downloads per day. This catapulted her into the national scene. Following that she toured to promote her first release and held sold out concerts at The Garde Arts Center, New London, CT and other venues. She has appeared on Radio, TV and Newspapers and has been featured on many websites in the US, Canada and Europe. Denise's debut CD and live shows have received rave reviews. One key to Denise's success is the mentoring of former CBS Records platinum award winning producer, Paul Leka. His informal lessons in songwriting, interpretation, performing, and the realities of the music biz have obviously left their mark. Currently, Denise is working on her 2nd full length release and hopes to have it out by early spring 2009. In the meantime she released 2 singles to raise money for 9/11 victims (The Spirit Of America, produced by Paul Leka) and also for victims of hurricane Katrina (The Levees Of New Orleans).
