Influences
Every Rock band I've ever banged my head to. Every Hip Hop artist who ever spit the truth. Every R&B & Pop singer who ever helped me heal the broken hearts I've had ... and oh yeah PRINCE 'cause there's just no category for the love in his music. :-)
On a daily, I need a dose of Common, a taste of MosDef and a slice to Jill Scott to feed my creativity.

TIME TO PLAY Another night, it’s time to play I pull out my baby out of the case I kiss her neck, and tune her to a perfect pitch Damn she pretty, a fine axe I plug her in, and turn her on I warm her up, by letting my finger fly up and down her It’s time to solo And I do as my axe splits the chord, but not the chord that binds us together, it is never broken I bend and break strings of soul But I keep us in tune with the way she grooves the bottom We change time in the movement from 4/4, to 6/4, and 6/9 I'm about to hit it again, but unlike James Brown, when I take her to the bridge I hit the one note that sets her into free form jazz We play like no other We get funky up in here Then we hold that one note that brings the house down Pure emotional opera We are the stage We dance too, as we play Grinding that rock and play those blues in the rapid repetition We are the bandstand of greatness I slide over to the keys and play 88 different ways on your original body of work as she sustains I pull out all the woodwinds and my wind is long and strong as she reverberates in sweet tremolo I grab a trumpet and play “The Flight of The Bumblebee”, as you hear and see my tongue work is quick and precise I end the night on the bass, and thump as you hum to the end of the chorus line of quavering effect I Lay my baby back in her protective bed, and close the door We rest up knowing we are on a lifetime tour Up at dawn We practice what we do, and what we do, we do it just as hard as if we were live That keeps our song fresh, and always on time

Hey guys many of you received a text this weekend regarding my first live appearance on the radio. Well it was lots of fun and I certainly think I covered all the bases as it pertains to love and relationships. Since, I have received a request to appear on Joyce Little's Poetic Moments speaking once again about Love and Relationships. Hey, I am pretty excited considering that V103 has 3MM listeners. Please check me out tonight, at 10pm, Thursday, October 23rd on V103 (103.3 FM).
Be anxious for nothing but in all things through prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving let your request be known to God. -Phil 4:6... A scripture that hit me last week. The beauty is that it's a promise that applies to everyone. Have a blessed week. Keep following God and you'll be exactly where you should.
