Just me, my computer, Korg M1, and my guitars.....
Currently I'm playing a new Hamer Sunburst Quilttop and my old friend, my 1986 Kramer Baretta (first of the pointy headstocks, last of the round bodies, parts made by ESP and assembled in Neptune, NJ).
I run through a Behringer v-amp2 into a mixer and straight into my computer, and record with Cubase for the most part. Drum, bass, and keyboard tracks are all inputted via my Korg M1 in midi, quantized to make up for my imperfect keyboarding, and then converted to audio.
Live I run a rack mountable v-amp pro so I can use the same sound libraries that I record with, powered with a crate powerblock stereo power amp. I have built a custom head to hold my rack gear and a set of 4 single 12 inch speaker cabinets using vintage jensens and eminence from old fender cabs, and control it all with a midi foot controller pedalboard.
Influences
Randy Rhoads, Ritchie Blackmore, Gary Moore, Joe Satriani, Al Di Meola, Allan Holdsworth, Steve Morse, John Petrucci, etc.......as well as soft jazz, latin beats, classical harmonies, and anything else I hear
I have been playing stringed instruments since I was 5, studied classical cello for 12 years, picked up my first guitar when I was 10. For most of my teen years I was sure I was destined to be a metal guitar god like many of us do at that age, but as life, reality, and fate conspired, my priorities changed direction. I have been fortunate enough to have a successful career outside of music that has consumed most of my time and energy for the last 20 years, but in the last few years have dusted off the old chops to fuel my need for some additional form of creative expression.
Now much older and wiser, I write and record a variety of styles of instrumental guitar based music ranging from soft jazz to heavy rock, and am grateful for the advances in technology that allow a solo musician to write and share his own music from a small home studio with the rest of the world.
If you like my music, please download and share with your friends. I play for myself mainly and am happy to have anyone listen at all. Please visit my website for a full selection of all of my current demo recordings and links to other web pages and projects of mine.
Please check out my friends' pages as well. They are a great group of talented musicians of different styles, whose encouragement and feedback help to make this a great place for independent musicians.
Hi, Dennis!! Long time no see. How have you been? It's so humid and hot here every day.
I hadn't been on MySpace for about a year or so. I am so sorry about that and thank you so much for keep sending me coments and messages. I'm so lucky to have you as a friend. I always appreciate your friendship.
I started Japanese SNS called "mixi" last year. It took up so much of my time that it was difficult to find the time for MySpace or even promoting my music. So I closed up my mixi account last month. Now I guess I can come back to MySpace more often and retrieve the friendship there.
I hope I can contact you as often as we used to soon!
Last May, I released a single CD "Infinite Sky", and had a live show in June. Now I'm preparing to record another piece.
It’s been well over a year since I last recorded something new my friend, but it’s that time again. I posted a new original song called “Forever No Restraints.” It's the frist song on the Myspace music player.
I refer to it as cosmic blues.....but blues it ain't. I used to do this song as a short solo acoustic piece, but I decided to turn it into a lengthy electric guitar jam and let my freak flag fly!
It has a strong Hendrix vibe, but is uniquely me….. Please drop by my page and have a listen! I also posted a video of me doing the song as I recorded it, so even if the music player isn't working, you can check the song out in the video.
