It's taken 38 years to believe that I have a voice and can write decent songs. I owe that to my wife, Kat and to my angel Grace. I was diagnosed with ALD 6 years ago, the same disease that killed my brother almost 30 years ago. With still no cure and treatment, I'm officially disabled now trying to write and perform the music that God has given me. I have a sense of urgency now to focus on my faith, family and music. Please pray for my family and let me know what you think of the music. If you would like me to play for your church and share my heart, hit me up. I would be honored.
PLEASE IF YOU CAN, DONATE TO THE ALD FOUNDATION SO A CURE CAN BE FOUND!!!
MY DAD PLAYING THE PIANO!!!! He died when I was two years old....unreal.
People are often unreasonable, Irrational, and self-centered; Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse You of selfish, ulterior motives; Be kind anyway. If you are successful, you will win some Unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies; Succeed anyway. If you are honest and sincere People may deceive you; Be honest and sincere anyway. What you spend years creating Others could destroy overnight; Create anyway. If you find serenity and happiness, Some may be jealous; Be happy anyway. The good you do today, Will often be forgotten. Do good anyway. Give the best you have, And it may never be enough; Give your best anyway. In the final analysis, It is between you and God; It was never between you and them anyway. ††† Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it (Psalm 34:14). You are forgiving and good, O Lord, abounding in love to all who call to you (Psalm 86:5). Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever (Psalm 118:1). Shay :):)

A young, new preacher was walking with an older, more seasoned preacher in the garden one day and feeling a bit insecure about what God had for him to do, he was inquiring of the older preacher. The older preacher walked up to a rosebush and handed the young preacher a rosebud and told him to open it without tearing off any petals. The young preacher looked in disbelief at the older preacher and was trying to figure out what a rosebud could possibly have to do with his wanting to know the WILL OF GOD for his life and for his ministry. Because of his high respect for the older preacher, he proceeded to TRY to unfold the rose, while keeping every petal intact...It wasn't long before he realized how impossible it was to do so. Noticing the younger preacher's inability to unfold the rosebud while keeping it intact, the older preacher began to recite the following poem... It is only a tiny rosebud, A flower of God's design; But I cannot unfold the petals With these clumsy hands of mine.
The secret of unfolding flowers Is not known to such as I. GOD opens this flower so sweetly, When in my hands they fade and die.
If I cannot unfold a rosebud, This flower of God's design, Then how can I think I have wisdom To unfold this life of mine?
So I'll trust in Him for His leading Each moment of every day. I will look to him for His guidance Each step of the pilgrim way.
The pathway that lies before me, Only my Heavenly Father knows. I'll trust Him to unfold the moments, Just as He unfolds the rose.
