Sounds Like
I'd like to think I sound like a cross between all my influences, but probably sound nothing like them at all.
People say my tunes are easy to listen to and catchy. I have been told my voice is similar to Neil finn from crowded house which I like, also David Gray and someone recently said Jamie cullum which is weird. Chances are if you like any of them u might like me!
You may be mistaken for believing that all you need to do in order to become a pop star in this day and age is binge-eat, sing a few covers and then cry about how you never thought you'd make it whilst on national television. However, you wouldn't be mistaken, as this is exactly all you need to do. Simply enter any number of reality-show-karaoke-talent-contests, sing in a manner that fits in with the comfortable, track-proven-money-producing-mundane way, look like everyone else and possibly have something about your person that at first appears to be a major hindrance, but in actual fact becomes a vote-winning asset on account of the nation's shameful way of voting for the underdog. And hey presto, you're suddenly a pop idol. It's a marginally more glamorous job than working in a hardware shop, but probably less emotionally rewarding. If, however, you believe that in order to be put on a pedestal there should be a reason, then welcome to Denny Lloyd's MySpace page. Denny writes and plays real music. Not music that has been written by a factory. If you grieve for the days when musicians were musicians, and songs were songs, then check out Denny's music and help the UK music industry get back to what it was once good at… music.
Great tracks - haven't listened to your stuff for such a long time. You deserve any success you get - you're a talented chap. Great production on the tracks....
