Being a sub-par clarinet player (both my playing and my clarinet are sub-par), drawing on anything that remains stationary (including stationary), eventually going back to tae kwon-do without actually doing so, baking in the non-existant summer heat of Buffalo, actual culinary baking, being incapable of sleeping before sunrise, singing like Joanna Newsom, The Despair Misfortune Club, spending an hour making a paper snowflake, jewelry making, picnics on the lawn of McKinley High School, city exploration, the circle of Laces love, being in a band that never practices or writes music or plays gigs or has a definite roster, complaining, not my job, and the old-school Weezer message boards (ATNW ftw).
Music
I'm hesitantly putting my last.fm link here (http://www.last.fm/user/densestmaterial), but keep in mind that if I listen to something a lot, it might just be because I have a lot of music by that artist.
I'm always open to suggestion.
Movies
Phantom of the Paradise, Fight Club, Donnie Darko, Reservoir Dogs, Dogma, Rocky Horror Picture Show, (any) Monty Python, (any) Marx Brothers, Office Space, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Mystery Men, Birds of Prey, Tonari no Totoro, Life is Beautiful, The Shining, Amar Akbar Anthony, Star Wars (the original trilogy), (any) Mel Brooks, Clue, Schindler's List, Dark Star, Arsenic and Old Lace, Requiem for a Dream, Everything Is Illuminated, Suicide Club, (any) Kevin Smith, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Lost Skeleton of Cadavra, Evil Dead series, Lars and the Real Girl, The Pianist.
Television
'90s cartoons.
Arrested Development, Monk, Good Eats, Iron Chef, Project Runway, Top Chef, Law & Order, Ace of Cakes, Ninja Warrior, The Adventures of Pete & Pete, The Daily Show, Lost, and Mythbusters. I'll watch any number of things on The Discovery Channel, Comedy Central, Current TV, The History Channel, or The Food Network.
I may need to wean myself off of cartoons and '90s tv.
Books
I don't read nearly as much as I did in previous years (but I DO leave the house more, and I'm beginning to think that the two are somehow related), so this list is shorter than I would like it to be, but oh well. 'Sophie's World' by Jostein Gaarder, 'Demian' by Herman Hesse, 'The Idiot' by Dostoyevsky, 'The Stranger' by Albert Camus, 'Catch-22' by Joseph Heller, 'Alice in Wonderland' by Louis Carroll, 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof' by Tennesse Williams, and 'Candide' by Voltaire. Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, and Kurt Vonnegut ("If I should ever die, again God forbid, I hope some of you will say, ‘Kurt's up in Heaven now.’ That's my favorite joke.").

Hey thanks so much. Saturday, November 1 at the Mohawk with Mother Red and Roger Bryan will be a super fun show. They are two of the best bands in Buffalo. See you soon!!!
i hate brad!!! in case you were wondering. he is an ass and needs to die, plain and simple. you want relationship advice, do not date drummers!!! they think its all about them and when it isnt the worst experience of their lives, he can go fuck himself!
97 years? I thought it was more like 407 years. I have THREE days of gym this week. This is not happening. I'll go Monday but more than twice in a row is crossing the line.
HOLYFUCKNO!!
Was that a girl?
Seriously?
Oh Spencer Smith & "girl", please shower regularly and put some clothes on!
Ugh.
That pretty much killed Christmas for me.
Tbh, even he could do better than THAT.
"This ain't a scene, it's a goddamn arms race." And I can't stop playing it, though I'd really like to. I can't think without hearing "gah dah ahms rah" in the back of my mind. It's just not healthy.
I think she will be there. You could call to verify with her i guess.Um suzuki didnt really want orchestra kids there because they get all territorial and stuff but i am sure if chris came he could still do something. A few orchestra kids were going to do it but suzuki got all weird the guy in charge said.
