Katayama, Suwa Taiko, Sensei Kobayashi, Ondekoza, KODO, On Ensemble, Taiko with Toni, Kenny Endo, San Francisco Taiko Dojo, Mudra Dance Studio, San Jose Taiko, Kinnara Taiko, Junior Denver Taiko, and pretty much every taiko group that we have met along the way.
We are the 4th oldest taiko group in the US founded in 1976. We have about 20 active members today and about 20 members in our Junior Denver Taiko group. Our 30th Anniversary Concert took place on October 21, 2006 in Denver, Colorado with a sold out crowd. We would like to thank the issei and nisei generations, all those who have supported us throughout the years, the Denver Buddhist Temple, and our taiko family.

Greetings from Denver Taiko! We are pleased to announce that we will be sponsoring an open workshop to better acquaint individuals with the art of taiko.
This one-day workshop will include: a brief history of taiko; introduction to the drums and percussion; taiko playing basics; and instruction of one short piece.
A small snack, bachi (sticks), and a Denver Taiko t-shirt will be supplied to workshop participants for a fee of $50. Following are the workshop details:
When: Saturday, May 31, 2008 Time: 12 noon to 5:00 p.m. (please eat a light lunch beforehand) Where: Denver Buddhist Temple Gymnasium (1947 Lawrence St., Denver)

Join Denver Taiko in our 2008 workshop! The workshop will be open to the first 30 participants and the fee ($60) includes lunch and a T-shirt. We will be introducing the taiko history, art form, and musicality in our workshop by teaching you the proper stance, arm placement, way to strike the drum, and much more!
