DENYCE LAWTON BIOGRAPHY

Multiethnic (African American / Korean) Actress, Denyce Lawton is currently a SERIES REGULAR on the #1 Cable Comedy Series on TBS, Tyler Perry's "House of Payne". Also co-starring in the action auto thriller, REDLINE (Now on DVD) and the horror thriller 7EVENTY 5IVE (set to drop in theaters Summer 2008), she will soon captivate movie-going audiences with another film set to be released in theaters nationwide this year. With a few other films straight to DVD and projects presently in the works, this South Korean born actress is already releasing breakthrough performances and is on her way to portray some of today's most memorable and remarkable roles.


Born in Seoul, South Korea, Denyce was the middle child of three, living a military life with her family abroad in such countries as Korea, Japan, and Germany. Her family moved around the US, living primarily in New Jersey then in Washington D.C. where she graduated High School in the top percentile of her class. In 1998 she was offered an assistant Vice President position at Warner Brother Records in New York City, NY (NYC). Denyce was also an Assistant Junior Publicist at 20th Century Fox Films where she later on utilized her WB ties and Fox affiliations to share her unique talent and on-screen charisma.

With limited experience and opportunities, Denyce participated in several Theatrical Plays as well as the famous Shakespeare In The Park Company while she began modeling for Kemi Oil, FUBU, ADIDAS, Enyce, Karl Kani and Baby Phat. While pursuing her acting and modeling career, she conquered a solid presence in notable Hip Hop/R&B music videos; "Peaches & Cream" by 112, "One Mic" by Nas, and "Anything" by Jaheim (to name a few), solely to accumulate enough camera experience and money to fund her acting pursuits before she decided to move to Los Angeles, California in December 2001. In Barely less than 6 years, Denyce has been gracing the screens in several formats ever since. Other film credits include the films SOUL PLANE, GO FOR BROKE, and due to be released this fall, IT AIN'T EASY. Denyce has also appeared in television/cable shows such as Entourage, Scratch & Burn, Half & Half , The Parkers and Remixed (An Urban Makeover show she co-produced & Hosted for the BET Network).

You may also recognize Denyce from the "Bacardi & Cola" commercial series as well as Jeep Cherokee and Coors Light. She has also been featured in and graced the covers of several magazines including the cover of the current June '07 issue of BQE Magazine. Amongst her accomplishments, Denyce has also become the new, fresh and first African American-Asian face of the AZN Comcast Campaign as well as the '07 Summer Campaign for Coors Light. Did we fail to mention that Miss Lawton also produced a successful " 2007 Top X Calendar" to help raise money for a charity that's close to home for her, City of Hope Cancer Center. And she's in pre-production for "2009 Hotter Than Hollywood Calendar" starring an impressive cast of Young Black Hollywood Actress' (Meagan Good, Jennifer Freeman, Tamala Jones, Gabrielle Union, Tia Mowry, etc.) for the same cause.

A very talented and busy young woman with many ambitions, she is definitely one to keep an eye now and in the future to see what this actress/model/producer/aspiring writer will do next ........
