Researching my books is one of the most fascinating aspects of writing. I love the Victorian era and the romance and elegance of the time. Everything about certain periods interests me, but I have a particular fondness for the American West, Victorian London, Ancient Egypt. High fantasy is another appealing area. My interests are very diverse and from day to day depend largely on what I am working on at any given time.

Well, what can I say? I'm an author who's been writing for over twenty years. I love to experiment with styles, and mix genres to see how things can be merged into a successful and entertaining story. I've got a huge catalogue of fanfiction to my credit, as well as over two dozen pro books listed on my website. My personal favourites are historical tales involving cowboys, Victorian gentlemen, and pirates! Sometimes the lines blur and you get a little of all three!
My philosophy about this work is that ultimately, like film and other arts, books should both entertain and touch our spirits in some way. At least with fiction. My focus in my books is always the emotional whims of the heart, so even in my fantasy works, there's an element of romance to the story.
I also write a serialized adventure story for the American Motorcycle Company, with actor/singer/producer Branscombe Richmond, who is a wonderful guy!
In 2007 I signed on with a wonderful erotic ezine called Wicked Escapes to do a series of short, sexy stories all set on an island. They ran bi-monthly through 2007, and my column was called Denyse's Island Escape. If you haven't stopped by to visit, and get STRANDED with me, the story will soon be available again, and I'll let you know where!! It'll be an experience you'll remember for some time!
Over the course of the past few years, I've gone through many changes professionally and personally. My styles and tastes have taken me in unexpected directions. Most of my published works have fallen into the category of erotic romance, and while it's been a very fun and satisfying run, my mood recently has gone back to the emotional essence of the romances I have always enjoyed so much as a reader. With that in mind, many new projects have been implemented that recapture the more elegant and gentle aspects of the heart and its passions. I hope you'll all stay with me as the journey takes us now to new yet familiar places, and is explored in a gentler way; one touched with sweetness and beauty.
In my personal life, the changes have also occurred, and so many things have shown me that there is never a time when giving up on your dreams should be an option you accept. Something truly beautiful may be waiting close to you, and if you don't risk and dare to trust, you may miss the greatest joy your heart can hold. It's called falling in love, I believe, and for me it's been magical.

Stuart Townsend: Stuart is a brilliant actor with a bright future, and at this point, I've enjoyed his work in everything I've ever seen him in!

Maggie Lawlor: Maggie has been part of my life for many years, and is the fabulous artist who created the beautiful artwork that adorns my website. She is talented, funny, and has one of the kindest hearts I've ever encountered. A truly beautiful person I hope to someday meet.
Kelly Wallace: Thelma to my Louise... my other sister. Aside from being a very talented author, Kelly is a lady who runs no less than five business enterprises every day. She's a kindred spirit, and we understand each other so well it's hard to believe we've never actually met. I hope to change that one day, because I'm sure there will be so much to talk about it may take weeks just to cover the basics!
Lisa Fitzpatrick: This lady is one of the most incredible people I know. Kind, generous, loving, and wickedly funny. Lisa is not only smart and savvy, she's just a joy to know, and I treasure her friendship and her wisdom, and her never-ending patience and belief in me. She's wonderful, there is no other word for her, and I love her.
Lynn Light: What can I say about Lynn, she is my friend, above and beyond all else. I love her, and I can't wait to one day spend some time with her and her wonderful husband.
And, there are also two very special ladies that I met at Patrizio's Place: Karen and Peggy. They are both generous, and caring, and good friends that I am very grateful to have in my life now.
There are so many special people who have meant a great deal to me over the years. One day we'll meet and have a truly spectacular party!!!
