Deon Taylor knew early in his life his career choice would be music. He began songwriting and performing at a young age in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
After a personal invitation from Willie Nelson, Deon performed for more than 50,000 fans at Farm Aid along with such greats as John Cougar Mellencamp, Neil Young and Martina McBride. He has opened shows for some of the biggest names in country music, such as Brad Paisley, Ricky Skaggs and Vince Gill. Like his colleagues, Deon knows it's all about the music.
Gary Cotton produced "Light After Dark". It contains a variety of songs, all of which reflect the quality of music Gary is known for. His songs have been recorded by such artists as Alan Jackson, restless Heart, Tracy Byrd and rock legend Bonnie Bramlett, to name a few. The quality production of "Light After Dark" is the result of Gary's experience both as a singer/songwriter and behind the scenes as a player, vocalist and producer. Gary stated, "this album will hae eleven great songs, not just one as you so often see today". He was true to his word.
"Light After Dark" contains a variety of songs ranging from a traditional country sound to a more "modern" mix with upbeat fun tracks. Both are sure to capture the hearts of music fans.
Deon's first single, "Tropical Vacation", is poised to rise to the top of the charts and become one of this year's greatest country hits. It has an upbeat feel with a fun message. The song will captivate listeners and have them singing along thinking of summer days relaxing in their own tropical vacation.
