FestivalsExposure at Encounters International Short Film Festival, called "The UK's most important short film festival" by the Guardian, is one of the many perks DepicT! has to offer.

Every November hundreds of industry professionals flock to Bristol to screen the very best of British and international shorts, and the DepicT! Showcase, where the short-listed films are screened, is a consistently sold-out favourite.

This is an invaluable opportunity to get your work seen by directors, producers and distributors on the lookout for new talent.

The 2007 festival will be held from Wed 21 - Sun 25 Nov '07.

Anyone, anywhere can enter any sort of film as long as it's under 90 seconds, and it's even easier now that you can get your films to us through the DepicT! website. The judges are on the lookout for well-crafted, imaginative and engaging super-shorts.

For some inspiration, all the shortlisted and winning films since 1999 are on the DepicT! website, along with tips from previous winners and resources to help you along the way.

Toby Tatum is very pleased to announce the completion of his new film Crime Scene

Photobucket

With Crime Scene Toby Tatum engages with his obsession with crime and, in particular, crime films – abstracting the genre's stock characters, situations and plots and reworking them outside the boundaries of conventional cinematic narrative.

The cast includes punk legend Gene October of Chelsea who, along with enjoying a successful music career which spans some thirty years, has also appeared in films including Derek Jarman's Jubilee (1978) and Caravaggio (1986).

Crime Scene is funded by Arts Council England.

"Found footage is a filmmaking term which describes a method of compiling films partly or entirely of footage which has not been created by the filmmaker, and changing its meaning by placing it in a new context.
