Two fledglings born christmas eve, here at about 7 weeks old.
Conservation efforts include having wardens thru the breeding season at the 3 nesting sites, taping off of breeding areas, trapping preditors that eat the eggs [that are laid on the beach], and to educate beachgoers.

The compliments will continue to arrive free of charge as long as you keep the good sounds coming. Happy to hear that motivation has struck... nothing worse than being caught in a slump. As for the weather... yeah sorry 'bout the whole sending it on thing, believe me you've got my sympathy. I've had the misfortune to be running (well walking actually but some say toh-may-toe some say toh-mah-toh) errands these last couple of days and have had to be out and about in this rather unpleasant heat. I can only wish you the best and hope that your heatwave doesn't last too long. :D
