Evolving from the demise of Herefordian band Distorted Waves in 2008,
Kirk, Sime, Mart & Deb formed Derailed ; a raw, blues and rock
jam-based outfit.
Driven by a love of playing music and
primarily unconsciously fusing Hendrix, The Doors and AC/DC-like vibes,
Derailed put nothing less than 100% into their live performances.
2009 has also been a very constructive year for them, to date.
The
band's debut EP "Storm Ahead" (available free of charge) has gained a
good reaction, both locally and further afield ... And with a recent
appearance on BBC Hereford & Worcester's 'The Friday Session' at
Wyeside Music Festival under their belts, Derailed are very much
looking forward to the future.

You guys have been busy lately. Great guitar work again, really good. We will try and come down to the Imperial on the 1st. Haven't seen you live since we played together as Jive Stick god knows when!
Thanks for being with us at the WMF, it was nice to see Mart in a different environment and meet up with Sime, Deb and Kirk. I hope we'll get to play together again soon!
1. Travelling over from Hereford to be part of the Worcester Music Festival on Saturday and Sunday. Even though there was no money in the gigs, you were there to help the festival to bring music to the masses!
2. Providing us with your own brand of top grade, high octane, high energy rock music. It was so refreshing to hear that style of retro-sixties rock again - so much like early Captain Beefheart, so powerful, so endearing, so exciting!
3. For the kind words, but the pleasure was all ours! It is always gratifying for us to work with bands and performers who are prepared to give 100% for the audience and leave the management of the sound to us. We have every intention of working with you in the future, so please keep in touch.
