About me: Founded in 2005, with head quarters in the Brooklyn borough of New York City, Derby City Productions is a creative organization focused on providing only the highest quality artistic products. We are proud to credit our organization's moniker to the home of the world famous Kentucky Derby and countless other American icons: Louisville, Kentucky. DCP strives to not only bring art and film production to Kentucky, but also to produce art that showcases the beautiful Southern/Appalachian region for all of its majesty. While, of course, never confining ourselves artistically to working exclusively on projects affiliated with the Bluegrass State, our work, admittedly, does often strive to promote the broadened exposure and overall cultural development of what we think is America’s most underrated region (and its surrounding areas). Regardless of the nature of the project, we at DCP are committed to both developing and providing only the highest quality creative work in a wide assortment of media, including, but not limited to, visual arts, live theatre, film, video, music, and photography.
Who I'd like to meet: People interested in high quality productions, especially fellow artists from Louisville, Cincinnati, and the Ohio Valley area in general.
Welcome to the week! Escape the misery with our latest short on Coffee Shorts, this week we have the incredible Flapwing and the Last Work of Ezekiel Crumb playing; a slightly experimental drama combining live action, model making and animation to create fascinating dark fantasy landscape with an expressionistic tale of foreboding to tell; check it out, and drop by any time for more of the best independent short filmmaking on the web.
DCP, come out and see my latest video short, My Last Twenty, on Friday, June 15th at the Pink Door 8 PM. It could be the greatest short of all time!! COULD be..
I'm commenting on "I Do.....I Think" which Derby City Productions owned and operated by one of my best friends produced!! I was greatly impressed with the show and HIGHLY recommend it to anyone looking for an uplifting/realistic view of marriage!!
Hey Sexy, so one of my numerous aunts just watched Ascension with me and LOVED it for the record. However, she was wondering if you intended to imply that, like "Eve", all women are innately evil since you used all women to represent the enemies of man and religion? (her words not mine) She really is serious about hearing your thoughts on this issue and told me to tell you the film was impressive!
Super cool new music video! I liked it because I do the same thing when I'm home alone.
I also liked her socks. Those socks are a shorter version of my socks! :)
