Derby is Dead!

A bi-monthly club night organised by some of Derby's finest bands, dj's and promoters, featuring the best acts from around the UK to try and breathe some life back into the music scene in this old city!

Thank you to everyone who came along to The Clubroom on 11th November. We're planning on February '08 for the next Derby Is Dead club night - keep posted on this page for info!!!

Mantus - New tracks online!	Aug 4 2008 10:49 PM G'day, I hope you are well? Mantus have 3 gigs in Derby this month. First up is an all-day benefit gig for the S.O.P.H.I.E cause on Saturday 9th Aug. All proceeds on the night will go directly to the charity. We'll be onstage at 7.30pm but the gig starts at 3pm so it's well worth arriving earlier. Next up we'll be playing in the final of the battle of the bands event held at The Royal on Saturday 16th Aug, along with Elmo must die, Dark abyss, With silent eyes and 2 more bands tbc. We went through on the judges vote in our heat so please show your support. It's totally free too! Finally we'll be playing with our buddies Razorwire on 27th Aug, again at The Victoria Inn. Their 3rd album has received great reviews (8/10 Metal Hammer : KKKK Kerrang!) and it's about time they caused a stir in Derby. Also with us are Alaizabel cray (fresh from supporting The Berzerker) and Ashes of empires. As usual you can pick up a copy of our 7-track ep for free at any of these gigs. Cheers and see you there! Mantus - New tracks online!	May 29 2008 6:41 PM Hey, Just dropping by to let you know we have 5 brand new tracks on our music player from our free 7-track 'Denied our rights' ep. If you'd like a copy you can grab one at a gig or from one of us personally. They'll soon be knocking around in selected shops around the midlands too...we'll list those places on our page once everything is confirmed for future reference.
