Marcel Fenkart alias DJ MAXXIS und Marco Glabonjat alias DJ MARCO GEE (DJ Overdose) sind in der im Rheintal ansässigen Musikszene keine Unbekannten. Vielen Leuten aus der Region ist auch ihr neues Projekt „DER EFFEKT“ ein Begriff.
Der Startschuss ihres Werdegangs erfolgte im Jahr 2000 und ihren, inzwischen recht hohen regionalen Bekanntheitsgrad, erlangten die zwei talentierten Künstler durch ihr Feingefühl für die elektronische Musik, ihrer Hellhörigkeit der Szene und dem „Partyvolk“ gegenüber und den Auftritten an Veranstaltungen wie der Streetparade Zürich, Loveparade Wien, Klangwelt und Lunatic Mission.
Im Jahr 2006 entschlossen sie sich mit den Frankfurter Produzenten Thomas Pogadl, Andreas Krämer (Russenmafia) ihre eigenen Tracks zu produzieren. Aus dieser Kooperation entsprangen die Tracks „Magnesia“ und „The Journey“ (Russenmafia Remix), die im März 2007 auf dem Englischen Label Germantrance.com veröffentlicht wurde. Publikationen des Tracks „The Journey„ auf der Compilation „X-Plosive HardTechno„ waren die Folge. Im selben Jahr erschien ihr Track „Knightstorm„ der von „Drizzly Rec.„ angenommen wurde. „Knightstorm„ wurde als „Junk Projekt Remix“ auf der Compilation „50 Techno/Trance Anthems Vol.2„ veröffentlicht.
Nach dem leichten Wandel der Szene entstand 2008 ein neues Projekt und “DER EFFEKT“ wurde geboren. Den neuen Herausforderungen im Bereich „electronic beats“ wurde noch im selben Jahr mit dem Track „Help You“ genüge getan. Die Veröffentlichung von „Help You“ als Compilation-Hymne auf „Meet Me At The Loveparade 08“ war das erste öffentliche Auftreten von dem „EFFEKT“.
Marco und Marcel, deren Wirken anfangs in der Szene-Musikrichtung „Trance“ beheimatet war, trimmen nun vermehrt ihre Arbeiten in Richtung House, Tec/Deep-House, Minimal und Techno.
Jedoch kann „DER EFFEKT“ nicht genau Kategorisiert werden. Um ihr „Musiker“-Dasein nicht klischee-mäßig in eine Sparte drücken zu müssen, nennen Marcel und Marco ihren Style einfach „experimentelle elektronische Clubmusik mit groovigem Druck!“.
Derzeit ist „DER EFFEKT“ in Eigenregie intensive mit Studioarbeiten beschäftigt...

Marcel Fenkart, alias DJ MAXXIS and Marco Glabonjat, alias DJ MARCO GEE (DJ Overdose) are no strangers to the "Rheintal" music scene. Their project "Der Effekt" is also well known in the area.
Having started their careers in 2000, the two talented artists have now gained a fairly high level of popularity through their finely tuned feel for electronic music, their attentiveness to the scene and the party crowd, as well as through events like "Street Parade Zurich", "Love Parade Vienna", "Klangwelt" and "Lunatic Mission".
With producers Thomas Pogadl and Andreas Kraemer (Russianmafia) from Frankfurt they decided to record their own tracks in 2006. The results of this cooperation were the tracks "Magnesia" and "The Journey" (Russianmafia-rmx), which got released in march 2007 on the English label germantrance.com. The release of "The Journey" on the compilation "X-plosive Hard Techno" followed. In the same year their track "Knightstorm" hit the scene, which got picked up by "Drizzly Rec". "Knightstorm" was released as "Junk Project rmx" on the compilation "50 Techno/Trance Anthems Vol. 2".
After a small change in the scene in 2008 the two began a new project and "Der Effekt" was born. In the same year, they rose to new challenges in the sphere of electronic beats with their track, "Help You". The first official appearance of „Der Effekt“ was the release of "Help You" as a compilation-hymn on "Meet Me At The Loveparade 08".
Even though Marco and Marcel have their roots in Trance, they are working more in the direction of House, Tech/Deep-House, Minimal and Techno. However, "Der Effekt" can't really be categorized. In order to avoid being boxed into a stereotype, they simply call their style experimental electronic club music with a dose of groove.
Currently "Der Effekt" is independently busy in the studio...
