Derek Byrne sings in Irish, English and
drum speak, while playing
rhythm and lead
on five string banjo.
He plays a vast array
of acoustic percussion, looped live to create a unique texture for each song.
Original material makes up the bulk of
his set list. He chants in gaelic,
plays jigs and reels and covers ancient Irish
favorites with a unique twist.
Most shows feature Irish dancing with special guest Sean Beglan - Former lead in Riverdance the show. Derek toured for 6 years with Riverdance, as a singer and percussionist. While travelling around the world he passed through Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Carrie, his wife to be was working backstage in the Auditorium. They fell in love and after a three year long distance relationship Derek left the show to marry the love of his life. They now have two kids, Cael and Keira. Derek writes about love ... of his wife, his family and Ireland. I know that many artists from North America don't have their music videos uploaded to German video websites. The most popular websites are MyVideo.de and ClipFish.de. That means your European audience does not have the chance to find them.
I understand that most of you don't speak German and are not able to upload videos because of the language barrier. If you would like me to upload your videos to the German video websites, please let me know.
