| General | Tennis, movies, photography, road trips, roller coasters, hiking, home theater, electronics, and music. | | Music | Seriously stuck in the 80's, but I really enjoy all kinds of music except hard-core rap. If the music has a good beat with catchy lyrics, I like it. Euro-pop and today's country are my favorite. My favorite artist is Madonna. I've seen her last three concerts, and I'm heading to Atlanta in November for my 4th concert of hers (3rd row!) I also really like ABBA, Erasure, The Carpenters, Sarah Maclachlan, and Elton John. | | Movies | I like all kinds, but having grown up in the 80's, I really love horror movies. My favorite movie of all time is "Aliens." I feel it combines all the right elements---very detailed action, sci-fi elements, man vs. man, woman vs. woman, survival of the fittest, plot development, and well, I just love Sigourney Weaver because she is and will forever be Lt. Ellen Ripley, last survivor of the Nostromo.
Other favs are: Friday the 13th (1,2,3,4,6,7), Halloween (..ay, it's just incredible), Funny Farm, Leap of Faith, Clue, Pretty Woman, Steel Magnolias, Sordid Lives, Jaws 2, and Star Wars (Jedi). | | Television | I watch the following shows: Desperate Housewives, Brothers & Sisters and Ugly Betty. My favorite all-time shows are: Golden Girls, Designing Women, Six Feet Under, Law & Order: SVU, Bionic Woman, and Roseanne. | | Books | I really enjoyed the Dan Brown novels--Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons (my favorite by far), Deception Point, and Digital Fortress. I am anxiously awaiting his new Robert Langdon novel.
My favorite books have been Animal Farm, Lord of the Flies, and I've been reading The Chronicles of Narnia-the entire series, and also, I bought Marley & Me about the worlds worst dog. I love dogs. | | Heroes | I don't really have heroes, per se. People I admire are Madonna and Steffi Graf. Madonna is a successful and powerful female who has risen to where she is now through hard work and determination. She has faced much backlash and public criticism for her actions, but she keeps moving forward. Having grown up in the bible belt where everything you do is scrutinized and judged, I learned early that no matter what you do, you won't please everyone all the time, so you need to make sure that at the end of the day, you can live with yourself and your decisions. I feel I can do that, and Madonna has helped me with that by her actions and a great soundtrack for my life.
Steffi Graf is arguably the greatest tennis player of all-time. I feel she is the best tennis player of all time with Navratilova 2nd. I feel Navratilova is the greatest women's athlete of all time with Graf 2nd. But, Steffi Graf never chose a goal of being the #1 player or winning the most grand slam tournaments as her motivation to get better. She loved tennis and her ultimate goal was to get better and play a better tennis match every time. I feel that her focus on her game and personal improvement has inspired me to become a more complete person and continue to grow without worrying about who I am going to please or be recognized for doing. |

About me:
Hey there! I'm 34 years old and I am a business professional working in downtown Chattanooga. I completed my MBA at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga this past April.
I have two dogs--miniature schnauzers that are named Polo (the girl) and Chaps (the boy). When not at work, I enjoy playing a lot of tennis, spending time with the dogs, working in my yard or home, and traveling.
I am single, but not opposed to dating someone I have a connection with. I have a sharp/acid wit and I love to combine it with pop culture references. I work M-F days, so I am free to do activities on nights and weekends.

People who are very laid back, no pretense, no drama, and also, very confident in themselves and not emotionally clingy. People who can hold a decent conversation about any subject are also good to know.
