it's been over a year. i want to share this i wrote over a year ago:

Rest In Peace Derek Quill
This past weekend i lost a friend, Derek Quill.

It was quite a shock to hear of his passing.

Derek was quite a guy, he had a great sense of humor and a winning smile.

he was into computers and was indeed a "Computer Guru" i sent my computer to him a couple of years ago for some basic maintenance and when i got it back it had a program called "Cool Edit Pro" on it. Derek had installed it on there for me. i didn’t ask him to do it, he just did it as a surprise, because he knew i was getting into recording. that’s the kind of guy he was.

i have since incorporated that program into every recording that i have ever done. i use it everyday, so now when i work in my studio i will always remember my friend Derek Quill. i wish i could have told him how he helped with building my studio, had him over and showed him some of the songs i have recorded, all with his help. i guess i thought that i always had time to do that sometime. but now i know that will never happen.

i still can’t believe it.

so, everyday that i work in my studio, i know that i’ll stop once in a while as, i’m toiling over a drum loop, or trying to fix a mix of a new song...i’ll stop before pressing the "execute" icon, and i’ll remember Derek Quill.

Thanks Derek, for being such a good friend, i’ll miss you.

I haven't been on here for a long time and see that Derek's profile is still up. I think of you Derek and pray to creator to look out for your babies. Your still in my heart.

Derek, DBAX here, your friend. I really miss you. When you left, suddenly, things haven't been the same with me. I have nobody to get into trouble with. Im gonna miss the 2 Dereks, when you would introduce yourself as me and I as you. I remember you used to tell people that you would give them their own TV show. And i would tell them I would fund their next grass root initiative. Yes, your advice to me was always graciously accepted. Lunch at the Tavern. Calling me late or me calling you... i think your the only guy that knew i'd be up and always ready to get into trouble with you. We'd kept some secrets but never from eachother. I love you man, and Im always going to miss you. We where supposed to win together. Well, thats just me bro... i realize its 4:11 am. This is about the time I'd be calling you but... not tonight. Love you man. DBAX.

i'm looking for a girl that made the last few weeks of my uncles life the happiest..
all i know is that he called her his "banger sausage girl" .. also i know she was also in a television series too on a sunday they shared a lunch and supper date together.. just the two of them.. she brought much happiness to his life..
