I AM NOT A BAND... The tracks on this page are from sessions that I played on for songwriter Demos or other artists' Albums...
Influences
I try my best to soak up a little of everything I listen to... I also try not to listen to a lot of "guitar music", but there are some dudes... "The Duke", Richard Bennet, Lyle Workman, Dann Huff, Brent Rowan, Ron Block, Django Reinhardt, GEORGE BENSON, Scott Henderson, Tony Rice, Jerry Reed, MALCOLM Young, Mike Cambell, Billy Gibbons... Anything from Motown... Horn players rock my world.
Sounds Like
60 cycle hum, fret noise, and some sketchy tuning... that's kind of my "thing"... Oh, and I can really place some mics out of phase...
I've been known to twist a string two bars up... just for the tone of it. I have a great wife, two dogs that both think they're the boss of me, and some instruments laying around that I use for the aforementioned twisting of strings... Sometimes, I go sit in huge rooms or old houses and hold a guitar with headphones on while I try to figure out how to solve these crazy math problems they keep putting in front of me... Other times, I stand on a stage and hold a guitar in support of other people doing their thing.. Like, two ladies that danced with stars, a "9 to 5" stint with a country music icon, Two dudes & a Lady named A, and a deep voiced gent that sings about Trains, Firecrackers and being someone's Baby-Daddy among other subjects... I am currently awesome.
A GOOD LOOK AT JT'S 2009 TOUR SET.
