My own book on London "DERELICT LONDON" on Random House Publishing - it was released in April 2008 and been reprinted twice already so I must be doing something right.
More books are being put together as we speak though these things take ages......

Derelict London Staying in allday writing the new book Posted 19 hours ago view more
About me: Derelict London is an unusual photographic portrait of the nations capital.
This is not a compilation of familiar tourist sights, as another of those is hardly needed,
but a depiction of an (often un-picturesque) view of everyday life in London
Derelict London - the book is out now and available from most bookshops (and Tesco, Woolworths, etc) or online
This site is obviously not taken to illustrate London at its most beautiful or most successful,
The name derelict London is a memorable name for a website though not everything within
this site is of derelict areas and everyone has their own definition of derelict......
99% of these pictures were taken by myself during many miles of walkabouts around the great capital. After years of travelling via car or public transport I realised just
how little I had seen of London. (ie just stepping back and looking at buildings and people).
I'm no professional photographer.Neither is this some trendy art student project..............

Paul also ran Bluefire Music - Bluefire started over 18 years ago and begun promoting punk gigs in and around London. Numerous successful nights were held at the Opera on The Green in Shepherds Bush and the infamous Sir George Robey in Finsbury Park. Bands on the bill included UK Subs, The Exploited, Tenpole Tudor, Peter & The Test Tube Babies & Culture Shock. Bluefire was also involved in putting a few newer bands on at the time too (in venues all over the South) inc. Lush, Daisy Chainsaw and the legendary 2nd English gig for the Manic Street Preachers.
Involvement with a local band called Phobia in 1991 led to the start of the record label releasing a 7" single and subsequently a compilation of local Aldershot bands called Snakebite City. Instant success of this first compilation in press & radio led to Snakebite City going international and 11 volumes were released over the years. Arguably one of the longest running alternative underground compilations Snakebite City gave a voice to up and coming bands currently doing the rounds and described by Steve Lamacq as the "Shine or Now equivalent of the fanzine network"
Bands inc. Bis, China Drum, The High Fidelity, The Crocketts, Drugstore, Vex Red, Seafood, Reuben, Carter USM & Mega City Four to name but a few.....
Many Snakebite City nights were held at gig venues over the years inc The Red Eye (Kings X), The Marquee (Charing X Rd), West End Centre
(Aldershot),The Garage (Highbury) & The Verge (Camden). Many were compered by London punk rock poet legend Vis The Spoon.
Who I'd like to meet: All The people Ive lost touch with...esp from the Snakebite City days.
