| | Heroes |  My mom. Seriously. She has to be one of the absolutely coolest moms out there (if not THE coolest)! She has always been so supportive of everything I do, even when she doesn't think it's the best idea in the world. She's pulled me out of messes that I deserved to be in just because she knew I had learned my lesson already. She raised me to think for myself, to speak my mind, to fight for what I believe in, and to always take care of the people you love.
 Then there's my sister, the single, working mother of two beautiful children (whom I adore). Even when things look tough, even when she's depressed, even when the kids have her tearing her hair out, she always keeps a good attitude and tries to smile.
 Nathan, my friend of over 8 years now, has to be one of the best people to know in this world. One day, when I was a sophomore in high school, he saw several people picking on me on the bus (which he just happened to be riding that day). Unlike most people, he stood up for me and demanded that the torment stop. Then, unexpectedly, he sat down next to me and started a friendship! I don't think Nathan knows how much that day has meant to me over the years.
 Then, of course, there's John, my wonderful partner. I already know some of the sh*t he's had to go through in his life, so I am very surprised he's so positive and upbeat all the time. He's made so much progress in being the best partner a gay man could ask for. I love you, John!

I'm that kind of really smart philosopher/scientist type that loves to ask questions for which there is no answer. I'm a perfectionist, even though I try to temper it by surrendering control. Um. Oh yeah - since people keep asking (and making it plainly evident they do not read my profile), I do not need a new boyfriend. The one I have is great, thanks, and the only person who can convince me to leave John is John. So please don't ask. This includes offers of sex - if I want sex with a person other than John, I'll ask John if he wants a threesome. And if he says no or is creeped out, then the answer I'll give is also no. There will be no exceptions.
