For over twenty-five years, Kenny Aaronson has been recognized as a world-class rock and roll bassist. Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, Kenny started playing bass at age 15, and soon became a regular on the New York scene. Most of us first heard Kenny’s playing on the 1973 Stories’ hit "Brother Louie," which shot to the top of the American charts in September of that year. Since then he has gone on to record and tour with some of the biggest names in the business, including Hall and Oates, Rick Derringer, Foghat, Sammy Hagar, Neil Schon, Leslie West, Dust, Mick Taylor, Billy Idol, Joan Jett, Dave Edmunds, Brian Setzer and Bob Dylan.
Part of the maniacal Appice drumming family. Considered one of the best rock drummers, in the world, 2nd only of course to big brother Carmine. Drummer for Axis, Big Noise, Black Sabbath, Derringer, DIO, George Lynch, Hollywood Allstars, World War III.
Since their original signing, "DERRINGER", has been considered one of the best guitar duos of all time . With the release of their first album, Derringer, the band found themselves the opening act for Aerosmith's "Toys In The Attic", and "Rocks" tours . Derringers' next album release, "Sweet Evil", found them the support act for Boston's "More Than A Feeling Tour". From there they went on to support Led Zeppelin for 2 nights at Bill Graham's "Day On The Green" in Oakland , CA .
After the break up of Derringer, the band members, Rick Derringer, Kenny Aaronson, Vinny Appice, and Danny Johnson, all went on to put their mark on the history of rock and roll by working with some of the most well known icons in the music industry.
