Man erzählt sich viele Geschichten über ihn und einige sind sogar wahr! Er sieht seine Berufung darin, die Damenwelt zu betören und die Männer zu heftigen Trinkgelagen zu verführen. Für sein Soloprogramm benötigt Marcus van Langen – der schillernde Vagant (Zillo 2006) und Deutschlands belibtester Minnesänger (Publikumspreis Minnesängerwettstreit 2005) weder Technik noch Bühne, denn seine ist da, wo das Publikum ist. Er agiert mitten unter und mit dem Publikum... Der Deutsche Spielmann: Von Sängern singt der Spielmann heut, vom Singen und vom dichten! Es sind dies meist kuriose Leut.., die solcherlei verrrichten. Sie schreiten durch die kalte Welt mit wermen Sonnenblicken, sehn überall ein Königszelt und tragen bunte flicken. Sie leben, was ein andrer träumt und träumen, was sie leben.
