The South African HORROR FESTACULAR emerged from its tomb in Cape Town (2005). This event encapsulates many avenues of the Horror genre, and includes everything from feature films, short movies and photographic exhibitions, to games, dress-ups and live original soundtracks performed to the screening of old classic horror/chiller/fantasy films.
The 2007 HORRORFEST is currently being planned and hopefully this year it will expand beyond Cape Town, further north to the Gauteng region.
Submissions are currently being accepted for feature films, short movies, music videos etc. (with a horror / chiller / sci-fi / fantasy / bizarre angle), and is open to anyone who’d like their work featured at the only annual event of its kind in Southern Africa – so do not hesitate to send ‘em in. The short film competition has both a South African and Foreign category. Contact us for more info or see the submission Blog on our Space.

SA HORRORFEST co-founder Paul Blom is South African correspondent for FANGORIA Magazine. Paul and co-organizer Sonja Ruppersberg are also the key members of the electronically infused industrial-metal band TERMINATRYX.
Thanks for the compliment, but truth be told my the stuff on my page is more representative of my illustration work than of my storyboards. I rarely have the time to put as much effort into my boards as I did for the pieces I have on display. They are usually done in great bulk on a tight deadline so they look quite a bit rougher around the edges. Anyway, let me know if you ever need anything drawn. Best of luck.
