Tamzin Forster is a visual artist, based in Manchester, who works with books, text, animation, photography and video. She is interested in creating communication of feeling through restricted means. With this photographic work she isolates a selection of found words from street and shop signs, whose job it is to direct, advertise, inform or warn. The use of words from our everyday, urban landscape emphasises the amount of visual information we are bombarded with on a daily basis

Held – a multimedia exhibition about keeping balance in a busy, stressful world
Stress-busting, creative ways to relieve anxiety and tension are illuminated by animations, ceramics, lightboxes, painting, mosaics, textiles and sculptures in this new exhibition. Start in Manchester, the artists’ group behind the show, uses art to explore healthy lifestyles and emotional well-being. They demonstrate that creative and cultural pursuits benefit us in mind, body and spirit.
