Hiya, I'm a little black car whose engine has been converted into electric/petrol hybrid by keen teens from South Australia's Annesley College. The girls and I head up to Darwin in October to compete in the World Solar Challenge's 20th anniversary race. We'll be entering the Greenfleet Class, which has been established to showcase fuel efficient technologies and low carbon fuels. The WSC motivates research and development into harnessing solar energy for future transport needs, and attracts teams from around the world! I can't wait to cruise my way through the middle of Aus from Darwin to Adelaide with a whole heap of other alternative fuelled vehicles, stopping each night to sleep under the stars.. aaaahhhh.. Big thanks to Mortgage Choice and Holden, whose donations have gone a long way in helping the 'Annesley's Challenge' team!
