Desert Moon Dancers are a Belly Dance Fusion group. We like to enliven our dance with the spirit of cultures from around the world. Dancing the sacred feminine essence of ancient wisdoms, to bring joy, healing, oneness and empowerment.

Desert Moon Dancers also add the elements of Theatrics, Fantasy, Mystique Fusion and Raks Gothique to their unique style, opening the door to self expression and freedom of spirit and taking you on a journey to other realms.

UMBRA RAKS GOTHIQUE..

UMBRA is DMD's Raks Gothique Group ~ it is a Dark/Mystique Fusion aspect of belly dance, that takes us on a journey to the shadow self. Integrating the shadow self is important because it unifies, brings balance and connects you to the innermost self.

Denying the shadow self or suppressing this natural aspect, is denying our truth, our emotions. Through Raks Gothique you are able to access this part of the self and express it in a positive way through dance. You are choosing through inner strength to share this expression in a unique and safe way, ultimately shining light into the dark caverns of the soul and bringing about harmony, healing and inner peace.

It is a powerful and transformative experience which deepens the meaning of your dance. There are no rules within this dance form, only imagination, freedom of creativity and spirit.

Dani Graczyk ~ Director/Choreographer/Educator of DMD has been dancing and teaching for nearly a decade. Her greatest joy is in sharing this sacred art form and continually learning new ways of expressing dance.


Classes are available for ladies and Belly Buttons class for children. Performances can be tailor made to suit any event.
