Martin's Interests
|
| General | Beyond design, I'm interested in good literature, varied music, average football (Ipswich Town fan, for my sins) and the Vancouver Canucks | | Music | I listen to music pretty much constantly, Radio 6 mostly, a little Soca and my old cds. Tastes vary from early 60s jazz, through motown, funk, punk, good 80s, Bob Mould, and The Duke Spirit, Neko Case, and Alex Jordan's Soca show on 1xtra. | | Movies | I'm not the biggest fan of film, which is odd as my wife is the Film Programmer for The Dukes in Lancaster. The Dukes Cycling on Film season begins this month, including another film about the tour de France. Last year Hell on Wheels was a sell out, this year Overcoming focuses on the CSS team. | | Television | | | Books | Currently reading James Robertson's Testament of Gideon Mack, a slow starter, but good gripping read about a Presbyterean minister who meets satan. | | Heroes | Arundhati Roy, Angus Hyland, Herbert Spencer, Alan Fletcher, Haruki Murakami, Lesley Anne Rose, Fidel, Bobby Orr |

About me:
My profile was customized using the Taming the Beast.net MySpace Layout Generator
I'm a freeance graphic designer and writer based in Lancaster. I'm primarily looking at this page as a way to promote my business. I'm only really using the blog, which has some examples of my recent work and updates on my wife Lesley Anne Rose's first full lenght play which is being produced by the Dukes Lancaster in the early part of 2007. I hope this may be of interest to someone somewhere.
I'll also be mentioning things going on with Litfest in Lancaster, where I work part-time. We have a festival coming up in November, so please go to www.litfest.org for details.
I still seem to have no friends, so not much change there then...
