Who I'd like to meet: People with a similar outlook and an interest in the creative, design and the charity sector.
Volunteers and Supporters!
What can you do to help Design Aid?
There are a whole load of very simple things you can do to help Design Aid:
Networking
Tell everyone you know in the creative industry and charity sector about Design Aid in fact anyone Design Aid can help or anyone who can support Design Aid.
Volunteering
Ask us how you can give your time, resources and/or skills to Design Aid. As a voluntary organisation we need volunteers to help with the simplest of tasks through to project development and management to skilled creative work.
Donations
The smallest to the largest financial contributions are most welcome from £3 a month to a single donation (you can donate on the website) Design Aid's broad remit to support so many charity project leaves us out in the cold when it comes to funding and we don't get any!
As a voluntary organisation Design Aid needs very little to cover costs so every penny is well spent.
I would love to find projects and organisations that can make good use of the creative resources available at Design Aid as well as Volunteers and charity workers that can support Design Aid, or need Design Aid's support to help with their project.
Would particularly like to meet a volunteer who can exploit the my Space Design Aid group on Design Aid's behalf to help us network, cause a stir, drive some traffic to our website etc. (same goes for Facebook and other social network websites).
Thanks for adding Barnardo’s as a friend. You can keep up to date with our latest campaigns and help support our work by sharing our news with friends!
Our “Children in Trouble campaign” aims to challenge perceptions held about children and young people and make people look at how they view this sector of society. Our findings have shown that over half the population think children behave like animals. Surely this type of talk can’t be the answer? View our campaign film at www. barnardos. org. uk and help support our campaign to end the demonisation of children.
Heya Thought you may like to know of a new website where we are a featured artist. Its got all our videos for viewing and you can click on the button on our front page or goto http://www. lp33. tv/artists/theheys/ . Dear Design Aid: Thank you for YourFriendship. My eight-year-old-peace-activist son Axil's quest for World Peace Before 2021 is gaining momentum! I'm so proud of him. Please embrace him AND his song "World Peace Before 2021" which he sings beautifully. His performance can be seen on MySpace, his webpage www. worldpeacebefore2021. com and/or YouTube (by searching his name Axil Kollist.) It is my intention to post a new video of him singing his song every few months so people can watch his talent grow as impressively as the momentum for his quest! I'm sharing two photos with you. The first is of my son distributing his free world peace bumperstickers and the second photo is of him singing his song “World Peace Before 2021” at Maui's Martin Luther King Jr. Peace Day Festivities in January 08. Best regards, Axil Kollist’s mom
Thank you for your friendship. I hope you will continue to check Our Profile for updates and resources. Thanks again for your support and have a wonderful day!
