About me: I am proud to call Houston my Home for most of my Life. In my early 2o's I lived in Fairbanks Alaska for almost 4 years on and off and in Seattle for a year. Houston is a great place to live and all the diverse people here are what makes it so cool. I've been married now for over 14 years to what many say (not just me)is one of the greatest Drummers in this city for the last 30 plus years. We have a great number of friends and we are proud to lay claim to each and every one of them. The Artist and Musicians are just a few of the cool and unique things that we love about this town. We both have all of our family and roots here. I am a wanna be artist myself and have my hands in many different pot's. I started spinning Poi just over a year ago and just recently started to spin fire. It is my latest Love of the arts and all I can say is "Burn Baby Burn". Keith and I love to see concerts and music of all kinds. We both Love Progressive Rock and plan on taking our 2nd trip to Baja Prog Fest in 2009. We are owned by 4 very sweet Kitties 2 are brother and sister (Midnight and Shadow)which we adopted while Black Kitty who was MIA for 9 months to the day. He found his way back home to us and last but not least is the baby who was a rescue kitty who was on his last leg at 2 weeks old and now is about 4 months old and ALL over the place his name is Ducky(read blog)aka Shitty Kitty. Life is much fuller and a little more hectic at times, thanks to them all, but I do love them. We hope everyone who comes to our fair city feels the Love like we do. Thanks for reading, Peace, Poi, Love and Music. The Duchess
Who I'd like to meet: I would love to meet even more folks who spin poi, The people I know now are off the Hook with there spinning. Burn Baby Burn. FIRE!!!!!! I would love to meet more people who are into Progressive Rock. There is not a real big community of Prog Peeps here. Although I do know just a few.The BAJA PROG FEST was just such a cool thing meeting all the other folks who knew ALL the Prog bands Like Gentle Giant, Caravan, Camel or Focus. It was way cool to hang out with Thais Van Lear the singer/flute player from Focus. that guy was so interesting and very kind, not to mention way FUN. We hope to do BAJA prog fest in 2009. This week on Sunday night July 21 in Dallas Texas I meet and spent about 15 plus minutes with Jack Bruce of CREAM and for me that was up there with meeting just any of my Rock Icons, I would so love to meet Paul McCartney or maybe the Moody Blues or Floyd. Jack was so nice talked with me about many things. What a great talent. I'll be HIGH off this for weeks.
