Desing is an indie/folk band with jazz infuences made up of Yari Spadoni (doublebass, guitars and vocals) and Simone Stefanini (lead vocals and guitars).
Their music is characterized by soft and acoustic sound, with arrangements that reflect various infuences and contaminations from jazz to music for cinema.
Both members write, play and sing their songs.
Yari and Simone they mainly focus in songwriting, infuenced from artists as Tom Waits, Nick Drake, Angelo Badalamenti and Chet Baker.
In 2007 they recorded new songs for the ep Sunday Songs, and after some live shows in a straight acoustic duo, during the fall of 2008 they recorded 2 new songs for a split in vinyl 7 inch, with Marianne Dissard, songwriter from Tucson, AZ, with Calexico as guests. At the moment Desing are working on a split called "Owls are not what they seem" based on songs from Twin Peaks, in collaboration with Nightsage and John Neff.
