Desire Street Records is based out of New Orleans, Louisiana. The company was formed in 2006 after Hurricane Katrina to help develop Louisiana’s rich country music talent pool.
Amanda Henkel is the first act signed to the label. Amanda, with the looks and ability that showcase the depth of talent available in the state, was the perfect first signing.
Amanda's debut cd is now available on iTunes and at other retail and digital outlets. The first single, "Climbing Up Mt. Everest," will be released to country radio in early June, 2008.
