OK... so I more or less copied and pasted my interests list from My Live Journal profile. Yeah, I know that's cheating... cut me some slack, will ya? I'll make a more thought-out list another time.
My primary interests are...
graphic design, photography, magick, paranormal study and investigation, music, computers & the internet, reading, gaming
I spend probably 90% of my time awake doing those eight things.
Other interests include...

Suffice it to say that I like just about anything, though I am heavily in the camps of Gothic/Industrial, Sludge/Cosmic Doom, Ambient/Atmospheric, Classic Rock, Instrumental, Symphonic and just about anything guitar-oriented (I play guitar, so I'm biased)...

Back to the Future, The Final Countdown, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Indiana Jones movies, 60s and 70s WWII movies, Japanese monster movies (Godzilla, etc.), Vampire Hunter D, Legend, Labyrinth, Omega Man, The Lost Boys, SLC Punk, The Hunger, Fantastic Planet, Darkstar The Spaced-Out Spaceship, Watership Down, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Pink Floyd's "The Wall", The Song Remains The Same (Led Zeppelin movie), Patton... again, my tastes are wide, so this list could get ridiculously long. Babylon 5... there is no other TV (kidding)...
Books
J.R.R. Tolkien, Raymond Fiest's "Riftwar Saga" and all the follow-up books (Pug RULES!), Harry Turtledove and most other "alternate history" (the author HAS to know real history to write this stuff well), Eric Flint's "1632" series, radical libertarian political books, many books on the paranormal (magick, UFOs, cryptozoology, ancient mysteries, hidden knowledge, etc.) and just about anything regarding World War II...
Heroes
My Dad, the spy (long story). Also, Thomas Jefferson, Nikola Tesla, Art Bell, Merlin (you know... King Arthur and all that), John Titor (whether or not he's legit), General George S. Patton, General Erwin Rommel (no contradiction with both Patton and Rommel on this list... not if you're in the know)...

You are The Magician
Skill, wisdom, adaptation. Craft, cunning, depending on dignity.
Eleoquent and charismatic both verbally and in writing,
you are clever, witty, inventive and persuasive.
The Magician is the male power of creation, creation by willpower and desire. In that ancient sense, it is the ability to make things so just by speaking them aloud. Reflecting this is the fact that the Magician is represented by Mercury. He represents the gift of tongues, a smooth talker, a salesman. Also clever with the slight of hand and a medicine man - either a real doctor or someone trying to sell you snake oil.
"...the male power of creation, creation by willpower and desire..."
"...the ability to make things so just by speaking them aloud..."
My name is Chris Davis, and I'm an artist/graphic designer, photographer, studier of arcane knowledge, musician, nerd-extraordinaire and all-around nice guy... and humble, too. :-)
I work for Clipper Magazine as one of their 3rd shift artists, and live in Lancaster, PA. My hometown is the thriving metropolis of Elizabethtown, PA, about half-way between Lancaster and Harrisburg... I still claim lordship over that territory, so you younger punks better not get any bright ideas just because I currently reside outside the borough.
I'm single.
I am a blend of Welsh/Scottish, Italian, Hungarian and Slovak (equal quarters) with a strange and often disturbingly high level of Germanophilia going on in my personality (one of the reasons for the boots, if you've already seen my pictures). In other words, don't piss me off or I'm liable to invade France while eating pizza and playing bagpipe music. ;-)
Politically, I'm a libertarian... with nationalistic tendencies.... and delusions of royalty somewhere in the family tree.... go figure. From 1993 to 1999, I was heavily involved with The Libertarian Party, during which time I was treasurer for the Lancaster County Libertarian Committee & wrote the 1994 platform for the Libertarian Party of Pennsylvania. In the Fall of 1995, I interned at The Cato Institute, a libertarian think-tank in Washington DC, and was a delegate to the 1996 and 1998 Libertarian National Conventions. Though I haven't been active at all for several years, this small view of past activities should tip you off as to where I'm at in the realm of opinion.
I recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of my delving into the study and practice of the magickal arts and sciences (for those of you who have known me for a long time, can you freakin' believe it?). Does that make me an "expert" in the occult, or some sort of "master wizard"? I don't know. I certainly have many opinions, ideas and theories regarding the paranormal and magick (which I'm more than happy to discuss with anyone)... I could probably write a book, in fact. Could I be a guest on "Coast To Coast AM" or any of the other shows which cover such topics? Maybe... again, I don't know. I have my own views and have forged my own path. Take that for what it's worth.
I have a multitude of interests, which can be gleaned from the sections to the left. In addition to those, it might prove useful to anyone stalking me that I am also into...
Photography. A little less than a year ago, I bought myself a birthday present... a low-end professional camera (a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi). Photography is something I've wanted to get into for years, but never seemed to get around to. Well, that's now changed. I've done a few large photo shoots (500+ pics), as well as minor ones here and there (less than 100 pics). Keep an eye on my Pictures section and my blog, as I'll be posting the results there.
Playing guitar, bass, flute, odd percussion instruments, synthesizers (when I can get my hands on one) and I am beginning to delve into learning how to play the didgeridoo... thus I have wide tastes in music.
Italian food.
German food and beer.
Food, in general.
Logistics, strategy and tactics, both in a gaming environment and in real-life situations (thus my interests in war, history and World War II).
Collecting, well... lots of different things. I tend to be a bit of a pack-rat or, as I like to call myself, a "keeper of the archives".
Anything that is considered arcane, strange, otherworldly, supernatural or paranormal. You know, "X-Files" type stuff.
I think that's a good start... I'll list more at a later time... stay tuned.
Who I'd like to meet:
Those who stay hidden.... those who keep watch....
Peace Sunday, June 5, 1982, Rose Bowl, no nukes - nuclear disarmament - stop nuclear madness concert - NYC - Central Park - June 12, 1982, 1,000,000 person march and rally for Nuclear Freeze. How was the trip to Cleveland? Found reenactors while in your area...at Wheatland. Wasn't there for very long, though. Will tell you if I get down that way again.
