They may have been busy forging their name on a red-hot anvil for five years, but Despairados are finally ready to ride out. Their terrain is a barren musical landscape thats ready for some good ol pioneering; the natives a lazy breed, fat on past glories but parched of inspiration.
Blazing a dazzling new trail and settling past scores are high on Despairados agenda. First up is reclaiming their song, Everywhere, as their own. A victim of a botched poker game to a freaky-looking crew of English ladiesngents, its since become an anthem of the decadent decade.
Almost twenty years on, its finally emerged as it was originally intended: sinewy, woozy melody lines, a foot-stomping beat and a cracked, raw vocal thats as vulnerable as it is commanding.
With a string of UK dates to coincide with the single release (August 21), the Despairate summer is upon us. Hold tight to that bucking bronco, kid, its going to be a wild one.

I hate just repeating other people's comments but Jarret is right some of The Crocketts covers were great I also remember "ring of fire" & "crazy little thing called love" - albums of cover versions never did UB40's career any harm!
