DESPERATA was born in 2006, in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, intending to create something bound to sound heavy, without any pre-established formulas or rules other than binding together experiences and influences brought by its members from their previous bands and projects. After a few line-up changes, the band made its debut on studio in 2007, recording “Enslaved by own treason”, a song to take part in the “In Cineris Metal Project”compilation, under production of Claudio David. In 2008, the band returned to the same studio and producer to record “Strangers in our own land”, a cover version for an early 90’s Overdose song, which will be released on the upcoming tribute to that legendary Brazilian band. For this current year, the band has been working on new plans, which include the releasing of an EP or, if possible, its debut full-length CD.

A banda DESPERATA foi formada em 2006 , em Belo Horizonte – MG, com a proposta de fazer um som pesado, sem fórmulas prontas e que aglutinasse a bagagem e as influências vivenciadas por seus integrantes em suas bandas e projetos anteriores. Após pequenas mudanças em sua formação, a banda estreou em estúdio em 2007, para a gravação da faixa “Enslaved by own treason”, para a coletânea do projeto In Cineris, sob a produção de Cláudio David. Em 2008 a banda retorna ao estúdio para a gravação de “Strangers in our own land”, faixa que fará parte do Tributo à banda Overdose. Ainda neste ano a banda pretende finalizar a composição e gravação de um EP ou, se possível, de seu CD de estréia . Seja bem-vindo ao nosso espaço! Obrigado pela visita!
