..Chorlton Film Institute are in the Church only some of the time. I imagine the church is a church much of the rest of it. It's certainly nice enough to be! Those big structural arches inside and impressive stained glass windows on the outer walls: you don't get those at a normal cinema! R u on facebook? There is a Chorlton Film Institute Facebook site I can show you...
..Chorlton Film Institute screen in the big Church at the top of St John's Road, Chorlton. I guess that would make it St Johns :o) It's at the top of the road which leads to the Stretford End of the Horse and Jockey, or H&J as I'm led to believe it's called now. Quite posh now it is. Always was a great pub tho, and still is! Anyway: they only screen films once! I suggested they do it again as it was the film institute's biggest grossing showing to date! It made a loss for the 1st 2 years so your film should have gone some way to recouping those losses :o) I could suggest that you could come and do an introduction perhaps if they screen it another season! That would be many months off I guess. Must come to your comedy nights again. I would offer to do an act for you, but I probably can't be bothered :o) Where do you get your biggest attendance? Iguana or Sale? Should check out where else you are compereing. Agraman said I should prepare to go on at the Buzz again, but I never bothered at the time. Maybe for the right incentive :o)
Des! I finally saw Looking For Eric at Chorlton Film Institute last night. Got a proper surprise to see you in it; had forgotten you were doing that! It must have been a right laugh. Great film anyway, top to see you! Shame you weren't there to watch it with my crowd :o) See you later, very best wishes xx
I don't know if you any of your pals will be going to the Edinburgh Fringe, but if you are please come to see my show, Freedom Come, Freedom Go! It's on at The Rowan Caves, 16 Niddry Street South, at 3.30pm every day (except the last two Tuesdays, 18th & 25th, when I'll be sleeping) and it's free to get in. It's about ID cards, police states, and other wacky subjects like that. I'm doing a cover of The Specials Gangsters aka Terrorists on the ukulele too!
You did well last night!! My flatmates genuinely thought you should have been the headline act with a longer set - the actual headline bombed and people were kicked out for heckling. He was really more of a prop magician than a stand up comedian. Hope you had a safe trip home.
Yeah I'd get paid to enjoy the entertainment! Haha. I was talking to Tommy at the bar a while ago he's a sound guy. Not long left at uni now, see you when I see you!
