Destanne is a free-improv musician and performer- her instruments include flute, cello, radio, manipulated tapes, chant boxes and electronics. Most recently she has taken up a very, very rudimentary homemade synth. She Loves It.
She plays almost entirely free improv, though is exploring the realms of alternative composition.
Some of her projects include: live soundtrack for silent/ surrealist films and peculiar forms of animation, surrealist theatre and cabaret, multi-media performances, dance and a circus.
Esthetically, Destanne tangents through the genres of drone, chamber music, free jazz, electro-accoustic jazz, sound collage and unapolagetic noise.

13.02.09 Sinking Ship
*In this clip I am performing with Janine Island at Jesse Gentes's Art Show opening 'Impossible Emancipation'. The first segement I am playing flute and Janine is playing violin. It is a very free piece full of dialogue and play.
In the second segment she is on guitar and I am on a homemade, very analogue synth as well as a selection of pedals. This is a drone piece that explores noise (apparently it was quite loud...) then finishes as a quiet meditation. We had a lot of fun.
