„schwarze Kunst“ ist nach über drei Jahren das erste offizielle Album von „des Teufels Lockvögel.“
Wie der Titel anmuten läßt, hat „schwarze Kunst“ das Thema Alchemie zum Inhalt. Jedem Lied wurde ein alchemistischer Prozeß zugeordnet, der zur Erlangung des Steins der Weisen notwendig ist.(stirb und werde) Darum werden die Lieder jeweils von einem alchemistischen Spruch eingeleitet, der am Ende die Anleitung zur Herstellung des Lebenselixiers ergibt. Wie auch auf dem Vorgänger Album „Carmina Mystica“ wurden ausschließlich akustische Instrumente verwendet. Der typische Eigensinn von „DTL“ und die Liebe zum musikalischen Detail hebt diese Produktion von anderen Mittelalter Produktionen deutlich ab und man merkt erneut, „DTL“ haben das Schiff mitgebaut, auf dem nun viele fahren.

It would be wrong to mix up the alchemic working process with a faked art of making gold or with studies on chemistry.
Since the alchemist was not looking for something new he tried to decode what the ancient masters already had discovered: the path to self-knowledge, to the empire of spirit and truth.
There is a desire to keep the alchemistic doctrine secret, thus authorities of the Christian Church were scared and therefore a lot of alchemists are regarded as heretic.
The alchemist knows: " I become what I wish and I am who I am"
If a human being can reform itself and become divine, what legitimacy does consequently the " only salvation bringing" institution of church have?
One becomes two, two becomes three and three in the fourth place becomes one!

dieser Merksatz unterscheidet endgültig den Wissenden Alchemisten von der in stumpfer Geldgier befangenen Masse. Nur der Eingeweihte soll am tiefen Geheimnis der Läuterung teilhaben. Es wäre falsch, das alchemistische laborieren mit vorgetäuschter Goldmacherkunst oder chemischen Studien zu verwechseln; denn es ging dem Alchemisten nicht um die Suche nach neuem, sondern es galt, das zu entziffern, was die alten Meister bereits erkannt hatten - den Weg zur Selbsterkenntnis, in das Reich des Geistes und der Wahrheit. Es besteht der Wunsch nach Geheimhaltung der alchemistischen Lehren,denn die kirchlichen Autoritäten hatten Angst und so galten viele Alchemisten als Ketzer. Der Alchemist weiß:“Ich werde, was ich will und ich bin, der ich bin!“ wenn der Mensch sich selbst läutern und göttlich werden kann, welche Berechtigung hat dann die „allein seligmachende“ Institution Kirche?
Aus dem Einen wird die Zwei, aus der Zwei die Drei und aus dem Dritten wird als Viertes das Eine!
