Destination Chelsea is a coalition of cultural organizations and businesses located in Manhattan’s Chelsea. Its mission is to increase the public’s participation in, and enjoyment of, Chelsea’s rich cultural and entertainment life.
Founded in 2003 by Dance Theater Workshop in association with The Joyce Theater and the Atlantic Theater Company, it brings the community’s wealth of cultural institutions together to work cooperatively toward building awareness of all that Chelsea offers. Destination Chelsea is also a proud recipient of the 2006 NYC neighborhood achievement Award.
Today the partnership also includes: Atlantic Theater Company, Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet, Center For Jewish History, Chelsea Art Museum, Chelsea Symphony, Chelsea Opera, Chelsea Sculpture Park, Friends of the High Line, Hudson Guild, Ice Theatre of New York, Joyce Theater, Lotus Music and Dance, International Print Center of New York, Isadora Duncan Foundation, The Kitchen, McBurney YMCA, Pure Vision Arts, Cue Art Foundation, Friends of Hudson River Park, The Rubin Museum of Art, and the Fashion Institute of Technology.

DESTINATION CHELSEA INTERNSHIP!
Intern will assist in the planning and implementation of a time-sensitive publicity and community outreach initiative; including audience development and grassroots business member acquisition. A huge focus is geared towards combing the Chelsea neighborhood in search of new business members and increasing local visibility. In addition, the Destination Chelsea intern will be integral in maintaining blog activity along with other web based projects.

Responsibilities:
• Creation of Destination Chelsea business membership kits
• Work closely with Manager on creation and execution of route designed to inform all Chelsea neighborhood businesses of membership opportunities
• Assist in maintaining blog content, variety, and traffic.
Qualifications:
Strong writing, organization, and interpersonal communication skills and computer literacy are required.
Compensation:
Free tickets to productions, gallery openings, classes, etc…will be available.
