About me:
Determination Inc, is the longest established independent Live Music promotions company in Hull, on the North East Coast of the UK, though it started life in 1991, in Northampton, in the midlands, where it ran many club nights and live shows. Relocating from Northampton to Hull in 1997. Though i've been working with bands since the early 80's in Carlisle.
During it's time in Hull it has been responsible for the developing and programming of two venues to a national reputation, with Great success, Moriarty's being the first , and, more recently The Ringside, having Left Ringside, i'm currently working Freelance again, Having recently been working with both The Welly (650 and 350 capacity), and, Fuel (400 Capacity)in Hull. Have also promoted shows into the Adelphi and The Lamp.
Determination Inc was also the catalyst for the current boom in the Hull music scene with it's unswerving support for new local and regional bands. It is also has the "Smash It Up" (est 1995 in Northampton) brand for punk, and the "Ska Bar" for Ska in Hull.
Having promoted and DJ'd many successful club nights in the "alternative" genres (Liquidizer,Clubterrania, Stomp, Gigantic, Bedrock, to name a few) through the years, both in the East Midlands and Hull, Concentrates Primarily on Live music these days, providing services to the industry including Tour Management, as well as Booking, and Merchandise.
It has promoted over 3000 shows and in excess of 7000 bands from Local to Major National and International acts, too many to list, but safe to say has an eye for bands, and has spotted many in their infancy that have gone on to big success, a talent which is the envy of many.
