detox jazz, are a South Wales based jazz quintet. We play a range of jazz, from the 1950's (Lee Morgan, Miles Davies), through the 1960s and 1970's (think Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea), with a smattering of more recent numbers as well. We play Jazz clubs, weddings and functions in South Wales (cardiff, bridgend, swansea, newport).
The lineup is piano, bass, drums, trumpet and saxes (tenor and alto).
The recordings are from a gig at Cafe Jazz on 26th October 2007. Unfortunately, Matt was unable to play, so Jonny Bruce stepped up to the mark.
