Hailing from Washington, DC, Detox Retox formed in late 2007. They played their first show at WMUC-FM in College Park, MD, broadcasting their energetic style of danceable rock over the airwaves. Since then they have performed to packed houses at venues throughout the DC area, including the Rock and Roll Hotel, Velvet Lounge, The Red and the Black, and numerous others. They've also taken their show on the road, performing in cities throughout the mid-Atlantic region.
The band's released its debut EP, Hard to Swallow, in September 2008. "Groovebox", the first single off the disc, received airplay on local radio station DC101 and the band's debut video for "Evil Disco" appeared on Fuse TV On Demand nationwide. They are currently working on new studio material and putting together a busy schedule of shows for later in the summer and into the fall.
